The South Side Community Investors Association (SSCIA) was established in 2007 as local stakeholders developed a comprehensive plan for neighborhood revitalization and economic growth in our South Side Communities.
SSCIA is Made up of stakeholders that invest time and resources to improve the quality of life on Chicago’s South Side by providing quality affordable housing. The group of investors and real estate practitioners work diligently to revitalize our South Side Communities.
Our mission is to strategically invest and mentor the next generation of investors. To date our association members provide quality affordable housing and support local businesses in many communities on Chicago’s South Side including: Auburn Gresham, Ashburn, Avalon park, Beverly, Bronzeville, Chatham, Roseland, greater Grand Crossing, Pullman, South Shore, Woodlawn, Englewood, Hyde Park, Kenwood, Morgan Park, Dolton, Calumet City, Dolton, Lansing, South Loop, Washington Park, Oakland, Burnside and many others so they can re-emerge as communities of opportunity and choice.
These activities help to stimulate our South Side neighborhoods, by providing the avenues perminanalt jobs, some of the local small business that are vital to our communities such as those closing stores and other locally owned business that operate in mixed use residential/retail buildings. on may of our business corridors on 79th, 75th, Halsted, South Michigan Avenue, Ashland, Western, South Cicero, 47th Street, 35th street and many others.
SSCIA hosts regular events and webinars designed to educate, train and provide opportunities for real estate investors to exchange ideas, share best practices and collaborate to grow their investment practices all while impacting our South Side Communities in a positive way.
